Well not exactly twelve – it’s a recession after all! 😉
These Pradas are definitely a Christmas miracle! When I found them at TJMaxx it was love at first sight however the price was way to steep for me. A month later, I was browsing the Final Sale rack and there they still were at an eighth of the price!
These booties were a Christmas present from mom. The suede is so soft and the most delicious coffee & cream color and they go with everything!
Another TJMaxx find, these Michael Kors boots are very comfortable and versatile. You can wear them scrunched down or up to the knee, with a full skirt or skinny jeans.
Well, even if Santa was most generous this Christmas, this doesn’t mean I will forget about some of my favorite purchases of the past year. I say “favorite” but I really haven’t been wearing them as much as they deserve. One of my New Year’s resolutions is to actually wear these beauties instead of hoarding them for fear they would get ruined.
I’ll start with my very first “fashion” shoe purchased at the beginning of 2010. These Barbara Bui booties are a testament to Italian shoe makers’ skill. The laser cut leather, heavy hardware and deadly spike heel say: ” These boots were made for strutting not walking”!
Up next, Alejandro Ingelmo. I bought these as my one pair of neutral colored pumps. The 5 inch heels are very treacherous to walk in but I will persevere as these are the only heels that help me come close to being eye to eye with Hubs!
And finally: Camilla Skovgaard! I got these sandals at the very very end of the Opening Ceremony online sale. They are very comfortable to walk in even though the chains are quite heavy. Come to think of it, these sandals get double points for true versatility. If I’m ever in a fight those chains could come in handy!
Hmm … now that I look back it seems my 2010 shoe purchases were a bit S&M influenced. I wonder what that means? Then again, all those who wear high-heels tend to be a bit masochistic, otherwise we would all be wearing sneakers. The horror!!!
